Baobab

Baobab tree also called as the 'Tree of Life'.  Baobab tree reaches height of 5 to 30 m.

A high source of vitamin C. It has various nutrients, including  carbohydrates, riboflavin, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and phytosterols, with low levels of protein and fats.  

The fruit has a velvety shell and is about the size of a coconut. The leaves, fruit, seeds, may be eaten as a leafy vegetable. Oil from the seed is also used in cosmetics, particularly in moisturizers.

The baobab tree has also been used for medicinal purposes for centuries –  treating malaria, gastric problems, and as a calcium supplement for pregnant women.
