Kadambh

Neolamarckia Cadamba commonly called Kadambh(Cadamba), Burflower-tree.  It is quick growing, with broad spreading branches and grows rapidly in the first 6–8 years. 

Kadamba is one of the most frequently planted trees in the tropics. The tree is grown along avenues, roadsides and villages for shade. Kadamba are suitable for reforestation programs.

Kadamba tree has beautiful flowers because of which it is also used as ornamental plants. The flowers are also used to make perfume and essential oils.

The plant is used for various health benefits like digestive disturbances, parasitic infection, High cholesterol and triglycerides, antibacterial activity, musculoskeletal diseases,  fungal infections, cancer, anti-diabetic activity.
